Jean Allgrove

The previous minutes were reviewed and agreed, the apologies were duly accepted.

Matters Arising:

Insurance Cover:

The issue of insurance cover for the Associations activities such as Feats, Fun day's Bring and Buy's etc was discussed, it was agreed that
this should be reviewed prior to the schedule of events for the forthcoming year is set.

Sherford Road:

The poor condition of the road surface at Sherford Rd. has been acknowledged by the Highways department and whilst it is not the
highest priority they have to deal with it is anticipated that resurfacing work will be carried out early in the 2006/2007 financial year.

Parking Issues:

The revised arrangements for parking in the area will be published shortly. There will be a three week period in which to raise objections.
If no objections are received it is anticipated that the alterations will be completed within three months. Objections to the proposals may
of course cause delays.

The proposals, if implemented, will bring improvements but the issue of parking in the general area will still cause some concerns.
The Association will continue to monitor the situation.

Treasures Report:

The Treasures report was presented to the meeting. The attached accounts show the various incomes and expenditures.

The Associations accounts are in a healthy position but it was agreed that we must be mindful that generation of income is essential
if we are to be able to continue to provide an effective service to the community. Any ideas are always welcome.

Deborah was thanked for her diligent efforts in dealing with the accounts, her efforts have been much appreciated. Janet Cox was also
thanked for kindly taking the time to review the accounts. Acceptance of the report was proposed by John Meikle and seconded by
Alan Stoodley.

The report was duly accepted.

Chairman's Report:

Steve delivered his Chairman's report a copy of which is appended.

The report summed up the years activities which, as we all agreed, has been a very successful year. Steve brings out the highlights in
his reports and stresses that these achievements could not have been achieved without the help of all those who have been involved.
Thanks to all involved.

Election of Members:

It was suggested that the members of the Association's should be re-elected 'on block' with the exception of Gareth who needs to stand
down as Vice Chairman due to personal commitments.

No Vice Chairman was elected at the meeting but the item was held on file for discussion at future meetings.

Gareth was thanked for his considerable input and effort during his time as Vice Chairman.

The remaining members of the committee were elected 'on block' the proposal being made by Alan Wedderkopp seconded by John Meikle.

Red Cross Building:

The meeting was advised that the Red Cross building area has received planning permission for 10 Flats with parking facilities.

The site is not yet sold and the Association will monitor developments.

Churchill Way Hall:

Discussion took place as to whether Churchill Hall is available for hire, as this may be of use to organizations if the Church Hall is
unavailable. Steve to investigate.

Citizens Award:

The Citizens Award was last awarded in 1999 but it was considered that it should be resurrected this year to reward someone who does
so much behind the scenes to enhance the lives of others.

For many activates 'beyond the call of duty'

Such as:

Caring for lone parent families:

Watching over Neighbours;

Collecting Local Memories:

House to House visiting for those who are unwell:

Supporting Young people:

All this coupled with looking after elderly parents.

The award goes to Lin Wood.

Congratulations Lin it's well deserved.
