Andy Hall was welcomed as the representative for Wilton Church, He was nominated on to the
Committee by Steve Holmes and Seconded by Gareth O'Rourke.

Matters arising from previous minutes

Accounts

Phil confirmed that the accounts had now been audited and received and said that he would pick up
the necessary forms from the Abbey National for signature changes. Steve asked Phil to hang on to
the accounts and hand then over to Dave Whatley when he next saw him.

News Letter

Steven reported that we were unable to get the News Letter printed in Colour and that Kevin was
amending it to have more impact in Black & White. Later in the meeting the summer event was discussed
which will reflect changes in the News Letter. Kevin was given the go ahead to have the News Letter produced
but that Phil should see a copy before as Steve is away on holiday. All members said that distribution could
be undertaken in their immediate area's by them.

Wilton Lands.

Steve confirmed that we had not heard back from Ross Henley following the Associations letter.
Alan agreed to write to Ross to find out why the Association had not heard anything.

Cycle Path Churchill Way

The Council had recently replanted the hedging and erected a fence to prevent damage to the new hedging.
It was noted that already someone had been over the fence. The issue around golf balls coming into the lane
was raised and Steve advised that the Council feel that they have done enough to prevent this.
The Committee felt that this was not the case and Steve said that he would contact Mr Baldwin again.

Traffic in Sherford Road.

Steve reported that he had heard nothing in response to the letter sent by the Association and that he
had heard nothing from Kevin on the issue. The point was raised whether or not it was something that
should concern the Association. It was said that whilst this may be the case the Association should ensure
that it is brought to the attention of the highways department and that as we had heard nothing we can only
assume that they do not know. We would ask Kevin to pursue this. Andy did add that as a resident he felt that
speed was an issue on the road with the Farm traffic.

Summer Event

The Summer event was discussed and it was decided that initially it should be kept to a picnic with games.
It was also agreed that the best place to hold the event would be the Common off of Pikes Crescent at the side
of Haines Park. The Scouts, Cubs and Beavers should be involved as should any other such groups. The event should
be held late July early August with the date yet to be confirmed. Toilets were discussed and Steve said that he knows
a man that may be able to help and that he would investigate this. The Church would like to be involved.

 Any Other Business

Judy was applauded for her success after a long campaign to get the road names repainted. It was agreed that
it has improved the area.

Clear Springs Presentation: Steve advised that he had asked Alan to attend a meeting at the council regarding
Asylum Seekers. Alan reported that the council has no intention of "lumping" groups in any particular area more
that an odd family may appear in the community and should benefit from the support of the community. He also
confirmed that unless places could be found for 150 Asylum Seekers then it was not a viable proposition for Clear
Springs. Further information can be obtained from the Police or TDBC.

Website: Steve reported that the Association now have "wsca.org.uk" as the web address but that we now needed
somewhere to put it. He confirmed that Tim Jennings had offered space for the web site for approximately £50.00 per year.
Steve said that he could build and maintain the site with some assistance from his brother. The Committee felt that he should
go ahead with the design. The church advised that they would like a link to the site. Sponsorship opportunities should be explored.

Phil said that he would like to organise some interesting walks around the area in which people could come along and
have a " Ramble with Phil". Phil said that he would draw up a route or two and report back to the Committee.

Constitution: Steve raised the issue that the constitution should be examined over the next month to see if there are
area's that should be "Tweaked" to reflect the Associations aims and to ensure the document is up to speed. Initial thoughts
are that item 3b should be removed.

Phil raised the issue of the maps that are offering support to his bed and suggested that we could perhaps hand then over to
the church and see if they could raise any funds for the church by selling them for donations. Andy said that he would check
this out and advise us. He thanked the Committee for the kind offer.

Venue: Steve advised that the venue had been brought to his attention on three occasions and that it was something that
the committee should consider. The feeling was that there are times when the committee should discuss issues in more private
surroundings. The general suggestion was the Church Hall and Andy said that he would check this out and advise as soon as
possible.

The Church are going to be doing some Outreach work in Churchill Way via Audio tape which would hopefully raise issues,
Andy said that any that are relevant to the association would be brought to our notice. Andy also advised that from
September 10th the church would be running a video based course on Christianity for about six weeks.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 9:30pm

Date of next meeting: Monday 12th May at 8pm. Location to be confirmed.
