Easter Event:

The Easter event was discussed and it was agreed that the event should be held on Saturday the 10th of April (Easter Saturday).

It was thought that the event should take place from 10am to approximately 12pm and should encompass activities such as follows:

* Easter egg hunt.

* Three legged races.

* Egg and spoon races.

* Sack races.

* Bat the rat.

Other suggestions would be welcomed.

Other issues were raised and are as follows:

The next News Letter should incorporate information regarding the forthcoming event, and should also advise that children should be
in the charge of an adult.

Posters advertising the event should be distributed one month before the event.

Public liability insurance will need to be considered.
(Action point for next meeting)

A license for the event will be required.
(Action point - Steve to discuss with Steve Cuthill)

The need to advise the police and Fire Brigade of the event was raised it was agreed that would be necessary nearer the time.
(On going action point for discussion at the next meeting).

The possibility of poor weather on the day of the event was discussed and it was felt that the fallback of an indoor location
would be a wise precaution. The Church Hall was an obvious choice but the issue was put on hold pending more detailed organisation
of the day.

Barnardos

Discussion took place with regard the development at the old Barnardos site. It is now understood that there is to be some 'social housing'
incorporated in the project

As social housing is not a known problem in Taunton Deane this decision was called into question but it was agreed that
the decision could only be accepted and that the development be monitored., to ensure it works within its planning constraints.

The issue of working hours and mud on the road were discussed and it was acknowledged that the developers were fully meeting there
commitments in these areas.

Friends of Vivary / Wilton Lands.

This item is an on going sore, The thought of parking for the Flower Show is further fuel to our concern. This issue will be ongoing and
will need to be discussed at subsequent meetings.

AOB

Crossing on Trull Road.

No further progress, Steve has viewed the Police information but they have no evidence of speeding. Situation to be monitored.

Community Map.

Ongoing - Steve and Phil dealing.

Sherford Stream  - Spaces

It was thought that renovation of the footpath would be valuable but the question of who owns was raised. Steve to liase with
Martin-Scott regarding this issue,

There being no other business the meeting closed at 9.30 p.m.
