Parking Updates:
The parking issues were discussed again and there was a feeling that the Association could now only maintain a ‘watching brief’ . It was considered that the situation is far from satisfactory but that improvements have been made due to the Associations efforts. It was accepted that commuter parking is here to stay but serious concerns still remain with regard the potentially dangerous situation’s the parking creates, in particular with regard corners and the narrowness of Haines Hill.

Double Yellow lines are scheduled to be in place at the top of Queens Drive by the end of September

Parish’s Farm:
The issues (which are well documented) are to be subject to an appeal which is to be held at Bristol shortly.
The car cleaning activities have now been moved to the farm and the discharge is now assumed to be into the normal drainage system and hence the contamination of Sherford Stream has been alleviated.
The size and volume of traffic to and from the site remains a cause for concern.

AGM/ Chairperson
The AGM is scheduled to take place on the 25th October, Steve, after five years as Chairman is (quite reasonably) intending to stand down. This will leave the Association in a dilemma. Without a Chairman the Association cannot continue to exist. Anyone prepared to take on the mantel will be very welcomed and can be assured that they will receive the full support of the committee members.
A.O.B.
Greenfest:
Deferred until to 2008. The event will be smaller with the intention of encouraging people be more involve with the Church and to be involved with green issues.
Batts Park: Wellingtoina
The replacement Wellintonia is considered to be wholly unsatisfactory. The replacement is placed in the stump of the old tree and hence has no possibility of becoming established. The new tree is also being overpowered by surrounding plants.
Shaun and Rob to pursue.
